EA is back in the news and apparently for something good this time.
According to a recent post, they have listened to player feedback; stating there would be a “revamped progression system” for Star Wars Battlefront 2.
Now we don’t know what kind of revamped system this could be but hopefully it doesn’t involve more loot boxes.
In Trouble From The Big Boss
It doesn’t surprise me that they are going through all this trouble in order to fix the progression. EA hasn’t exactly had the cleanest track record when it comes to developing Star Wars games.
Since acquiring the license from Disney and Lucas Arts to make and publish Star Wars titles in 2013, the only thing they had managed to do was piss off the fan base and create cash grabbing experiences.
So much so that rumours are now suggesting that Disney may be giving the rights to another company like UBISOFT or Activision, despite EA’s supposed “Tremendous” relationship with the company.
Although I’m not very fond of Activision acquiring the license. I am interested to see what UBISOFT could do, especially with Ghost Recon: Wild Lands and Assasins Creed: Origins being commercial successes last year.

Coming In March
The patch for Star Wars Battlefront 2 will come in March and will feature the revamped progression system, as well as a new game mode called “Jetpack Cargo”.
The new limited game mode will feature 8 on 8, jet packs only. In a capture-the-flag like scenario.
This is all part of the “free seasons” content, so expect some “significant” changes.
Let me know your thoughts below, on what you hope to see from the progression system?
Take care guy’s and have a great day!
