PSN Games Of January 2018

Spread The Value!

Throughout 2017, PlayStation offered it’s PSN + players a plethora of magnificent games.

From enticing indie platformers to AAA titles, it’s hard to say that we weren’t spoiled.

And now that it’s 2018, it seems that this trend has continued…

The first batch of free games for PlayStation Plus have been released for January and it seems we have started off with a ‘bang’. Literally.

The Big Names (and the small)

By far the biggest highlights of the New Years roster is, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Batman: A Tell Tale Series.

  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – is a first-person, action/role-playing experience set in a distopian 2029. You play as Adam Jensen, an elite covert agent who lives in a world ruled by mechanically augmented humans. With a large selection of futuristic weaponry and the freedom given; to complete missions how you want, it’s no wonder this game received such high ratings. (9/10 IGN).

  • Batman: A Tell Tale Series – Telltale Games (developers) provide a fresh and much-needed interpretation of the Gotham universe. In this episodic, point and click depiction of Bill Finger and Bob Kane’s Batman; you are given the choice to play how you want. Through decisions, which either helps shape the right or wrong path. Everything will have consequences for the ‘Cape Crusader’.

In addition to these you have the supporting games on PS3, PS VITA and PS4:

  • Sacred 3 (PS3) – Sacred 3 is an arcade Hack ‘n’ Slash game for up to 4 players. Choose a hero and fight cooperatively against the rise of evil. The game received an average of 5/10.

With Steam user ‘Karakla’ stating “I played through the introduction mission and I must say it is bad, really really bad. The humor is horrible. I mean the setting itself seems pretty standard. Like a big evil attack. Heroes must rescue it. And then you got this extreme cringe worthy/cheesy humor in it.”

  • The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 (PS3) – Every world needs it’s heroes. However unlikely they may seem. Join Wilbur, Ivo, Nate and Critter in another classic point-and-click adventure in the wicked world of Aventásia. Help them fulfill their destiny. A destiny as yet unwritten. The game receive ‘very positive’ on steam @ 91%.

  • Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness (PS VITA)(PS4) – In this visual novel, decide the fates of Nadeshiko Kugatachi and Takuma Tsurugi, two new detectives assigned to Division 1. Every decision has it’s own repercussion, victims can become criminals, and the story may end quicker than expected. Rating of 8/10 on Steam.

  • Uncanny Valley (PS Vita) – Uncanny Valley is a survival horror game that includes a mix of exploration, puzzle solving and a bit of action with a lot of optional story content. It has ‘mixed reviews’ on Steam @ 67%.

    1. Psycopass is awesome! I love that anime!

Uncanny valley is a horror game and is similar in a way, it presents a birds eye view but the tension is still there!

It’s free on PS so why not:)

      Take care Malachi
