Your bank accounts thinning, shopping is winning and all you can think about is the long hours of work you’ll have to endure after Christmas is over.
Its sad to think that enjoyment comes at a large cost but there are some things which you can do to save a bit of money along the way.
If your kid has a 3DS whom you constantly buy games for, then I may have the solution for you…
(Disclaimer: Always support the developers of games, this is to just provide a cheaper option for people and there families needing to save some money).
Store All Your Games On The Sky 3DS +
If you have never heard of a ROM, it is essentially a cartridge which allows you to download and store cracked Nintendo 3DS games; so that you can play them on your Nintendo 3DS device.
The Sky 3DS + allows for users to download practically any Nintendo 3DS game and store them all at once on an SD card. The SD card then slots into the back of the cartridge:
They come in all different sizes like a USB; For example 4GB, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB.
3DS games are quite large so it is preferable if you are thinking of purchasing, to do so with at least an 8GB SD card. (please note: that prices can range from $60 to $100 depending on what reseller you purchase from)
Once purchased from a reseller… (just type in on google “Buy Sky 3DS Plus”) then you are ready to do the initial set-up. Which can be found on the official website.
Basically the set-up allows the firmware of the ROM and SD card to be viable with the 3DS, so that when you do download games (from trusted sources) they will work.
Where Can I Download Games?
The best place to download games would be from a website known as 3dsiso.com. However, you’ll need to register and create an account first.
Once created you can start browsing the forums, downloading from “Nintendo 3DS ROMS Download” only.
This is the most reliable place to get games for the 3DS ROM. I have trialed many other places and this is perhaps the best one I have come across. Downloads are fast and free of any viruses, plus the community is really helpful if you run into any problems.
Once downloaded all you have to do is plug your SD card into your included MicroSD adapter. Making sure you have followed the initial firmware set-up, on the official website.
Then place it into your computer like a USB, and transfer the games onto the SD card.
Plug the SD card back into the ROM Cartridge, insert it into your 3DS and you are good to go.
You are able to download as many games as you want from this point on, saving you plenty of money in the long run. (please note: not all games can be played online)
Not Your Cup Of Tea?
If you want an easier option, then waiting for games to go on sale or online would be the best plan of action.
The fact that there are so many games being produced each year is mind-blowing. This means competitors are having to lower prices more quickly on new games in order to attract more consumers to there product.
Places like Amazon or Ebay always have cheap options being displayed daily. Even purchasing pre-owned games can save you an extra $15.
I always say that if a previously owned item works, then you have a bargain on your hands…
Work Less Hard
I hope this Consumer Corner review has helped save you some money these holidays. Perhaps Santa would be too generous giving your kid unlimited games to play with…
