Wow wow wow wow wow… Speechless and breathless, I raced all the way home when I heard the news (not literally) but I was excited to share this nonetheless.
Guy’s (let’s get serious). 2017 was a terrible year for gaming, we had some completely forgettable games; with loot boxes wanting me to give up on any form of virtual entertainment.
It’s actually what motivated me to start this website because I wanted gaming to once again be enjoyable, and not all just about meeting profit margins.
Luckily 2018 is shaping up to be a great year for gaming, with my optimism levels shooting through the roof.
Those levels began with a “blast to the past” remastered Crash Bandicoot (which sold like hotcakes) last year, and are now rising once more with rumours of a Spyro Trilogy Remaster for PS4.
According To Another According
An article reported by Kotaku states:
“According to multiple sources familiar with the project, Activision is currently working on a Spyro the Dragon Trilogy Remaster, which will be announced in March 2018 and released in Q3 2018.”
As you would come to expect from a remastered PS1 game, the newly updated Trilogy has been said to feature “new assets, lighting, animations and cinematics, as well as a remastered soundtrack.”
The remaster will also include all three games of the trilogy including: “Spyro the Dragon, Ripto’s Rage!, and Year of the Dragon”.
In addition, sources point towards a September 2018 release, which makes sense as this was the same month as its first release back in 1998.

The announcement is still to come! so prepare yourself for March!
This is the year of the dragon, with Spyro’s 20th anniversary nearly upon us and (hopefully the game too).

Thanks guy’s and take care!
